The area of London near Chelsea is known as Fulham. Fulham Road which leads right on to the heart of South Kensington and the edge of Knightsbridge, is considered central, whereas Fulham Road, the same road, also leads out as far as Putney Bridge. However, although not quite as central as South Ken or Knightsbridge it is considered desirable and certainly this street, at the Putney Bridge end, is. Off Fulham Palace Road is this quiet residential street that runs down to Bishops Park, a pleasant park that borders the river Thames and has a wonderful children’s playground as well as attractive walks. This flat is at the bottom of the road (7 minute walk from the flat) to Knightsbridge and the West End and Putney Bridge tube station is a 12 minute walk through the park. This is a large, airy flat offering ideal accommodation and location for a family on holiday. The front door opens on to a long hallway with doors to the main rooms opening off. The sitting-room is a handsome room with windows on two walls. On the park side the windows open on to a generous sized balcony, so this is an especially lovely room in summer. The formal dining room is elegantly furnished with a fine antique table and chairs for eight people. The kitchen is more old-fashioned than some; a real family-sized kitchen and very well appointed with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and stove. There is a large kitchen table with bar stools for dining. Beyond, is the utility room which also happens to have a smart shower stall with a powerful shower. Here, too, is the washing machine and tumble dryer. Also beyond the kitchen once used by the maid, is a child’s single bedroom with single bed. It is well furnished and pleasant. The other bedrooms comprise of one pretty double room with queen bed, good closets and furnishings. One further double room with a ‘standard size’ double bed, also attractively furnished and one pretty single bedroom. Close by, but not ensuite with any, is the main bathroom with bathtub which has a hand shower attachment, washbasin and toilet, and a second separate toilet with small washbasin.
