I must admit that as the door was being unlocked I reminded myself to lower my expectations so I wouldn't be disappointed. But as soon as we stepped inside I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the flat exceeded my expectations. It was roomy enough that we wouldn't feel cramped, it was bright and attractively decorated. We've stayed in some pretty dismal hotel rooms in London in the past and hoped we could do better with a short-term rental. We chose this one largely because of its amazing location -- steps from the National Gallery and from the half-price ticket booth in Leicester Square -- and were delighted to see how much else it had to recommend it.
