The rue Mouffetard is a semi-pedestrian street of 605 meters long and no more than six meters wide; it is an ancient section of the Roman road to Italy, by way of Lyon, and has had this name since the 13th century. The lower part has one of the most colorful traditional market in Paris, and to see it you should arrive early, especially on Saturdays. The street is semi-pedestrian after the crossroads of the rue de l'Epee de Bois, and it is possible to walk down the middle in relative safety. There are an incredible variety of shops, cafes, market shops, passages and bars. Many shops and stores are close to the apartment There is a great large living room, a dining room in a closed in veranda, a big eat-in Kitchen and an office. Past the library bookshelves through a door, you enter a short mirrored hallway to the guest bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Twin single beds with head boards and antique bed table are present. The spacious white marble bathroom includes a towel warmer, marble shower and elegant mirrored vanity. The separate dining room decorated in country French with off white barn board walls, antique sconces, upholstered chairs, country dining table and sideboard. All the kitchen appliances have panels that match the cabinets including the washer, dryer, dish washer, oven, microwave and refrigerator/ freezer. The countertops are marble. One wall of the kitchen is exposed brick and there is a small marble table Finally the central music system that supplies music to every room is located in the kitchen. The master bedroom brings you back to the Louis XV era with its beamed ceiling, fireplace and Toile de Jouy floor to ceiling velvet drapes. Matching antique bed tables are on either side of the queen size bed with headboard . Two empire chairs and antique chest of drawers finish this warm comfotable room which includes a sitting area to read and relax by the fireplace. An additional flat screen television is present.
