This authentic 17th century building, with wood beams, is filled with history as it was the barracks of the musketeers of the King. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of this non-elevator building. The entry is secured with a code and intercom. In March of 2012 the apartment was completey renovated and refurnished. The unit entry opens to a small flight of 10-12 stairs that lead to the main room, split into the living and dining areas. The living room area is laid out around a decorative wood stoveand features a leather couch with matching armchairs, coffee table, laptop and large wall-mounted flat screen TV hidden behind an easily removable painting. The dining room area features a gorgeous wooden table with deating for 8. Beautiful wood stairs in the dining area lead to the mezzanine which features a double bed (140x200) - both sides of the mezzanine are open to the main room. The entrance hall will lead to the kitchen which is equipped with an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is also a wardrobe next to the kitchen door. The entrance hall also leads to a wonderful terrace, offering a table with chairs and great view, and storage space available under the stairs to the terrace. There are two bedrooms in the apartment, both giving on the hallway. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed (160x200), wardrove and television. There is also an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and toilets. The second bedroom has twin beds (80x200), which can be pushed together if needed. This bedroom also has a skylight and another mezzanine with another bed. The room features a flat-screen TV, DVD player and wardrobe. The living room has French doors that lead to rear patio that is shared with one other apartment. The Living room has Cable TV, 2 couches and internet access throughout. The beautiful master bedroom has queen sized bed, with full en-suite bathroom, having bath with shower , vanity wash hand basin and W.C. All fully tiled and with marble basin. The second bedroom has a UK double bed and there is in addition a fold up bed which can be located either in the drawing room or dining room. There is a separate shower room/W.C and marble wash hand basin. The very well-equipped fully fitted kitchen which has washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, cooker, utensils etc. PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional $25 per night for the 5th guest to cover cost of getting a foldaway bed to the apartment and extra bed linen and towels.
